According to records, the towers of Rumeli and Anadolu Feneri were bombed by air for the first time in 1915, marking a revelation that Istanbul could frequently be exposed to air raids. The phrase "Tayyare Hakkında Malumat Vereceğim" ("I will provide informatio about the airplane") was a coded expression used among soldiers to signal the approach of an aircraft. This work brings together the historical reality of air raids in Istanbul with a fictional character named Rakik Mayreni.

In this sense, it draws an analogy between historiography and artificial intelligence algorithms, emphasizing the preservation of the specific and the unique over the general in both contexts.

Synthetic Spider is a research project that delves into Bergson's perspectives on time and (social) memory. This interactive experience and installation are realized as a component of a sculpture constructed from old devices. The artwork utilizes artificial intelligence to synthesize the viewer's image with significant social events from the geographical
 location's past.

The video shows an island inhabited by hybrid creatures produced in collaboration with artificial intelligence. Each creature in the work represents a different stage of fictional evolution. The video displays an autonomous production area on the screen, in a dynamic and constantly evolving ecosystem. This space provided by the computer appears as a bio-graphic area in the work, exploring the post-natural life forms there. The creatures on the "Semi-Allogeneic Isle" arise from the combination of biological and technological elements, blurring the boundaries between organic and inorganic, aiming to create a new concept of "creature". Here, the creature is seen as an internal limitation of life, as opposed to death; while death is an external threat, the creature is a threat of deformation or deficiency from within. The creature is not a simple being of diminished value; on the contrary, its value emerges as a contrast. It shows how fragile the stability of life we are accustomed to is and stands negatively on the issues of species-specific reproduction, morphological regularity, and structural success. At the same time, it appears as a counter-stance in the pursuit of preserving the myth and integrity of the "normal human".

This painting presents a depiction of a 3D object from four different perspectives and combines organic forms with mechanical components, reflecting the features of an imaginary bone marrow transplant device. The integration in the object has a form reminiscent of the sacrum bone, suggesting the remnants of a semi-living creature. The tip of the sacrum bone is considered a remnant of structures associated with the tails of our evolutionary ancestors.&#38;nbsp;

Inhabiting the Threshold, created through 3D photogrammetry and digital reconstruction, connects surreal spaces that transcend geographical boundaries, as well as the boundaries between history and the subconscious. By intertwining personal experiences with collective histories, the artwork reframes architectural memory as active storytelling. The figures' movements within the video were captured using a motion-capture suit, highlighting how the physical body actively re-experiences and reconstructs memory within these liminal spaces. This embodied interaction emphasizes that architectural structures are not merely physical entities, but psychological, cultural, and emotional realms, inviting viewers to the threshold where collective consciousness and personal subconscious intersect.

Family


Family presents a layered composition built from personal and found materials: a fragment of a house from Tarlabaşı, an egg-shaped Aztec weapon, rail remnants from Haydarpaşa station, and a gramophone box labeled His Master's Voice. At the center, an old family photograph quietly anchors the scene.As it collapses personal and historical timelines, the work questions the transmission of memory and symbolic burden. The figure depicted among the objects carries not only memories, but also duty, silence, and an inherited weight.

Roots


Roots captures the moment of displacement through the image of the Artuqid structure, relocated from Hasankeyf before the area was submerged. The architecture appears behind a window in the composition; no longer rooted in its own land, it now leans quietly into the viewer’s space. This scene reveals how cultural heritage is uprooted by political intervention, and how forced severance from place disrupts the continuity of memory.
